Why does my dog like to eat chips only after i lick them?

I know, kinda gross :/

    Don't feed your dogs chips. They are full of fat, salt and empty calories. They can cause gastrointestinal issues. You may give your dog potato's if you want but, boil or bake them first. Potato's are actually good for dogs. Not in excess but, they have a lot of vitamins in them. But not chips. Very bad.
