Why do liberals love socialism?

1. Liberals don’t love socialism. Very few of them embrace socialism. I’m a liberal and a capitalist.

2. You clearly don’t understand how socialism works, based on your question.

3. You demonize Obama for ObamaCare, claiming it’s “socialism,” when the reality is it’s a massive supporter of the private insurance industry. No socialist would enact the Republican Individual Mandate idea as Obama has.

4. The closest thing we have to “socialism” in this country is the U.S. Military. They even own and operate their own hospitals. Bethesda is McCain’s favorite socialist hospital.

I have no problem helping somebody in need. that said, I do have a problem with somebody that keeps popping out kids for more money. especially when they choose to drive a 40k suv. our system is messed up and the illegal immigrants know how to work it to the tee. between anchor baby welfare and child tax refunds, we are paying them to take over the us.it is sad

As a liberal, I find your question to be an excellent example of this. Most descriptions of liberal positions offered by conservatives seem to fall into this category, I suspect this is because actual liberal positions are much less easy to attack.

That is not how it works.

Only 1% of population makes lots of money,you call them PERSON 1.

The other 99% make less money, you call them PERSON 2.

PERSON 2 pays more taxes because PERSON 2 is the 99% of the population.PERSON 1 pays little tax because they have enough money to bribe politicians and force them to pass laws so they can continue to pay less taxes,or they can just use TAX LOOPHOLES to pay very little or no taxes.

47% of the PERSON 2 are people like senior citizens who don't have to pay taxes because they have worked their asses off when they were young and now it's time for them to relax.Taxing these people is not only immoral , it's also impossible because they make living off social security checks.Another part of that 47% are poorer people who don't pay income tax but pay payroll tax.

Some level of redistribution is NECESSARY otherwise car insurance or medical insurance system WOULD NOT WORK.
