Goodwill prices are too high Is there someone who regulates goodwill store price?

I like to shop at the goodwill after many years I've noticed the goodwill prices have really gone up to regular retail new item store price.Last week I went into the goodwill a mother and her son were shopping for Christmas items her son picked up a jersey and begged his mother to buy it she couldn't afford it! the used jersey was over priced like 98% of their items. I saw the heart break in both of their eyes I wished i could have purchased it for him. I was told by an employee that cashier set prices.Who regulate the goodwill

Update:

@Uncommon You shouldn't try so hard to prove you are a Jerk your name say it all.The goodwill is suppose to be a place where low income families can shop and afford to shop. The Goodwill get tax exemption because of the service they claim to provide. If they are charging retail prices they should be treated as a retail store.I heard that the employee steal the valuable donated items

I'm sad now. You over entitled wombat. If Goodwill prices are too high you need a better job.

Goodwill like any other store charges what they think they can charge. The fact that the mother could not afford the listed price is irrelevant - someone else will either pay the price or the store will lower the price at a later date.
