Does an AMD FM2 socket CPU fit an ASUS motherboard with a AM3+ socket?

Does an AMD FM2 socket CPU fit an ASUS motherboard with a AM3+ socket? I have a A8 5600K CPU with a ASUS M5A88-M and im afarid the CPU isn't in place?

    hi' i am not absolutely sure but i don't think the A85600K will fit socket fm2 best of luck!

    Yeah, i will most likely take a seat right here for the subsequent 24 hours and determine which of the 200 mobos would nice go well with any individual who has no business even thinking of exchanging a mobo if he has to ask this sort of query.
