Is it possible to download files from Sendspace or Mediafire to a 4th generation iPod touch?

I got an iPod for Christmas, and I've never owned an Apple product, so I know absolutely nothing about them. The safari browser won't support downloads from either, and there's not an app on the app store for it that I've seen. I don't have a computer of my own, so I wanted to upload the files from my phone onto Sendspace or Mediafire so I could download them here. If I can download files, what is the iPod's equivalent to Androzip? If not, is there another way?
