I only own Dawnguard so I'll tell you a list of the new things that it adds. (That I know of)
-Dragonbone weapons can be smithed.
-Arrows can be created.
-New storyline pretty much involving the Dawnguard(vampire hunters) & The Volkihar Vampires.
-New locations like Fort Dawnguard, Castle Volkihar are the obvious ones. The forgotten vale.
-New shouts(Soul Tear) and weapons. (Crossbows) and armor.
-If you become a vampire, you won't be attacked on sight anymore.
-The Vampire lord perk tree/Transformation(if you choose to become a vampire lord in the new story.
-More dragons(legendary dragon).
-New enemys like vampire dogs and gargoyles.
-Really cool follower that helps a lot. (Serana)

Good, Dawnguard adds crossbow's and flying vampire lord's and a ability tree for the werewolf and vampire lord there's about 15 new areas and the quest line is lovely long you can additionally come upon legendary dragon's which can be rather a lot tougher. Also I believe there's three new shout's. For those who get Dawnguard you are going to be capable to make Dragonbone weapon's Dragonborn provides a whole new map and questline however the questilne is really quick there's about four new shout's fairly a little of recent weapon's as good 2 new cities new creatures and new armor and about 40 new place's on the island of Solstheim

Skyrim itself is awesome,
but Dawnguard is amazing! you be like a vampire lord thing, or just a guy (lame) and go around fighting stuff. VAMPIRE LORDS FLY! YAY! just so you know, you have to be lvl 10+ to access the Dawnguard quest where you actually go there. Oh yeah, once u become a vampire lord, you can go back to regular skyrim and be it! AWESOMENESS :D
