Only 1 child per family?

1 child per family or more and more over population problems until something horrible like a famine/panic happens?

Update:

And when theres a big drought we're wondering why sh*ts getting crazy, it has nothing to do with increasing the population right?

The government is slowly making changes to help problems like pollution and use of natural/unrenewable resources, but it's not coming fast enough. Right now, at this very second, there is no immediate famine, and there is no imminent care in the world. However, if a famine started tomorrow, it would cause immediate change. Maybe disasters are good in a sense, because it forces changes to be made that need to be made. It shines a light and gives a good kick in the **** to the problem at hand.

I think issues as well as thinking, as well as the economy have evolved to a point where affording children can be monumental.

I come from a family of 12, but we were farm children, raised by good, hard working, prosperous parents. My siblings produced dozens of children, all of whom do quite well. I have 4 daughters, and though I'm finished having children, I think what matters is less about famine and panic, other than in horribly poor countries, what matters that those who can, should best take care of the children they have. We/I don't live in China, where the restriction as to number, is critical, and while a large percentage of them are poor, they aren't starving. The class division there and the culture there is rich and poor. Middle class is a misnomer.

It should be based on income. If you have enough money to support a large family, then that is fine. If someone is barely scraping by then they should not be allowed to have more than one child...I really get mad when dirt poor people on welfare keep pumping out kid after kid...

    no

b/c then you will have lots of innocent babies aborted, especially female babies

and then 20 or so years down the road, uh -oh we have a huge shortage of women... too many men... and this is the situation china is in now

honestly let people have whatever they want. why should the govt interfere?

But you can't really control how many children you're having at a time.
