Should 11 year olds wear makeup?

So I came to visit the family fo Christmas and noticed my 11 year old sis wearing makeup. It wasn't like a smokey or anything but it was eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, maybe face stuff but I couldn't tell. I didn't start wearing makeup until 13 and I mean I wear makeup to but I just don't know what to think. And I mean, its good makeup but, ummm yeah. Thoughts?

I'm 11, and a lot of the girls at my school wear foundation, powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, etc. Actually, many of my friends go over the top with cosmetics as well. I felt tempted to wear makeup, I wanted to fit in and to feel mature. But, now I realize that you don't have to cake on makeup to fit in. 13 is a good age to start wearing makeup (in my opinion). I just wear lip gloss, and on special occasions, I might wear some mascara. But 11 is way too young to start wearing makeup.

    11 Year Old Makeup

Personally, I feel tat today's younger youths are rushing into adulthood. It's sick. When I was little, if an eleven year old wore make-up, both the mother and the daughter were thought to be slutty and/or trashy. What is the point? Eleven year olds are not mature enough, no matter how mature they may be nor how intelligent they may be, to handle real relationships. Make up is a sexual tool designed to attract sexual partners, plain and simple. Today's youths in general disgust me, and I'm only 14. I'm a youth myself and I am disgusted by majority of my peers. The upper-class men of my high-school agree. We are raising a whole bunch of spoiled trashy children. So no, I do not find this appropriate. If she was at least 13 (that's pushing it for me, I barely wear make-up) then I could see that. A bit of blush would not have been bad but eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow is over the top. Even my trashy friend, known to be the slut of my grade, didn't wear make-up until she was 12.

I'm 11, and a number of the girls at my college put on groundwork, powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and so forth. Virtually, lots of my friends go over the top with cosmetics as good. I felt tempted to wear makeup, I desired to fit in and to consider mature. However, now I comprehend that you don't ought to cake on make-up to fit in. 13 is an effective age to begin wearing make-up (for my part). I simply put on lip gloss, and on unique events, I would put on some mascara. However eleven is far too younger to begin wearing make-up.

I'm 11 and I wear makeup and so do a lot of my friends but it is mostly mascara, foundation, and nude lipgloss. However I think eyeliner and eyeshadow is a bit much

Not that kind of makeup. When I was 11 I wore clear mascara and lip gloss. Not eyeliner and mascara and eyeshadow. Even now I don't wear eyeliner or eyeshadow.

It is just make-up. I don't see the harm of wearing it for a fancy event like Christmas or a party. Just make sure she wears an appropriate amount, and remembers to wash her face before she goes to bed. Her personality won't change just because she is wearing make-up.

I am 19 and I rarely wear it, I like being natural. But I don't think wearing make-up will turn someone into a slut, or force them to grow-up. I see it the same as waning to curl/straighten hair or wearing jewelry. It isn't permanent.

No. Make-up really isn't good for your skin. Ever noticed how girls use make-up because their face breaks out, and then have to continue, because it gets worse? That's not a coincidence. At 11, she shouldn't have many pimples or acne scars or anything. And honestly, there's no one she should be "impressing" with eye make-up. It's too young.
