Can anyone else find out how much your tax return is?
I was wondering after I file taxes could lets say my mother call and find out how much I got on my tax return

All she has do is go to te refund data base part of the IRS and if she knows the filing status and amount and social security number she can find out amount. Or she can call the off set number at IRS and use your social security # and they will tell her if it has been offset or sent out

Under the RTI Act it is possible, if it can be shown to the Income tax authorities that such disclosure of information is in public interest.
