Why is their evil people in this world?

You asking this question is a very good sign that you are kind. Some people are evil because of such circumstances and situations, but some are evil by birth. Jealousy and Selfishness is a natural charector in human beings

Humans are naturally evil. It's just part of our nature. We're greedy cultures. Some of us are more grounded then others and won't go to great lengths to do certain things but others will do whatever they have to. Just look at history, World War Two was started over the desire of a nation to be the supreme nation. In the end, between 40 and 72 million people died.

So that we can distinguish between good and evil. And appreciate the nice and kind people in this world. I think we wouldn't be able to value them properly if it weren't for the evil people. Although yes, I do wish we didn't have evil people in this world, cause they ruin everything.

I don´t know but is because social injustice exists, I think, also according to some thinkers we have a tendency to to evil, but also a tendency to do good, so that could also explain it, sometimes we must be strong not to do evil, we may hate killers, rapists, etc because they only show us a mirror of what we can be if we allow it. but yeah, my answer is I don´t know.
