Why don't Askers use the Google first?

Why should they have to? YA is here for asking questions just like Google, and people do have the choice of getting their answers from where they wish.

Google can't holds a candle to YA in many aspects:

Google is a search engine that provides nothing a but few pages of links, which the user then has to sort through to get their answer. YA allows a user to get their answer from an actual person, who's had experience and knowledge .

You must use certain words to get a good result on Google, and you can't fully explain your situation. If you get too "wordy", your search results will be a useless mess. YA allows you to explain what you need.

Why do some think that there should be some prerequisite for users, that they have to search elsewhere first, before coming to YA? Why SHOULDN'T YA be a first choice when sometime needs help, or even just a quick answer? There is no extra effort required to ask a question here, and the results are far more likely to be better, and more personalized.

By the way, did you search Google first, before asking this question here? I doubt it, because you would have seen that this question has already been beaten to death by thousands of other users. Why DIDN'T you Google it first?

Lol very true. They probably must just be too lazy to search first.

What I do if I have something I want to ask- google my question followed by "?" then "yahoo answers". Normally it's been asked in the past by someone so it's easy to just read. But other times I just can't find an answer to a question on here (or any other sites), so I would just ask here, hoping I get a good answer.
