3 way remote switch for florescent lights?

I have florescent lights in my Walkout basement with a switch at the top of the stairs. I would like to be able to turn them on/off with a switch at the door to the yard without adding any wiring. There are plenty of wireless switches for incandescent bulbs (such as this one http://www.amazon.com/Heath-Zenith-BL-6133-WH-Solu... but not florescent. Does anyone know of a solution?

These switches are not rated for florescent bulbs because of signal interference from the oscillators in the florescent fixtures.

I don't think you are going to find anything wireless that is approved for this application, but that doesn't mean it won't work. It may work intermittently. It may not work at all. You have to make an educated guess based on your specific light setup whether it's worth it to try one of not.

Other suggestions, besides a hardwired 3-way switch, would be to install a timer switch at the top of your stairs.

Also, remember it takes a lot more energy to turn on a florescent light than it takes to keep it on. If you think you will be saving energy when you use the switch by the door every time you go in or out, you could be wrong.
