If you filled out a work injury report and if your employer provides workers compensation insurance (not all do) AND if there is no other time you could have gone to see the doctor (ie, you can't just make an appointment in the middle of your shift if there are other appointment times available), then your employer is in the wrong. If any of these things are not true (ie, you didn't fill out report or you don't have w/c, etc), then your employer has no obligation to allow you to leave your shift for appointments.

If the doctor has released you to go back to work and you can't actually do the work, the employer can cutyour pay to that of a helper or something less than your original job.

You have the right to hire a workman's comp attorney to help you get it worked out.

You have every right to complain. I would get a lawyer involved.
