Arrested under ALIAS?
I was heavely intoxicated one night were i dont recall anything i did. I apparently broke a car window and was charged with disorderly conduct. The only thing i remember was waking up in jail to being called another name of an id i was holding for my cousin. I did not have my id on me it was in my coat at the restaurant i got arrested. No officer believed me as i tried to tell them that is not my name. They wanted proof and all I had was my credit cards with MY name. 2 days later i went to the precinct and they told me that the name that was used will just become my aka name or alias and wont effect that persons record because its my finger prints. I dont understand???

your finger prints are one of a kind and an inescapable form of ID that can be obtained ,, no matter what state of mind your are in . The police will keep record of the fact that you were ever addressed as any name other than what will be court verified or real name (regardless of circumstances that brought this about ) so that if ever there be a questionable factor in the police statements or paper work revolving about this case, they have one less issue that need be cleared up . In the future , they can have a better chance at straightening this out sooner as well , since you have a listed history allowing information to be improperly associated and used in regards to things like your name. Your cousins finger prints will obviously be what hold the final, but rather unlikely step in acquitting him or exonerating your cousin. They should have no need to arrest him , unless he has his own separate criminal charges in an unrelated matter . Generally nothing will need done, but if so , just a request to come to the jail to give his finger print and his immediate release at any time during before or after would be granted.
Source(s): I have had some interesting friends over the years and have always been the first call from jail to straighten thinggs out . . . it's just something you pick up as you go , and I've kept it going for ten years of some particular people's predicaments . . . . - 8 years ago
Your cousins fingerprints are not yours so he cant get in trouble for it UNLESS he happens to go to jail for a similar arrest then they MIGHT mistake the two. On the other hand the judicial system does not give a flying **** about you or your cousin. They just want you to go to court and pay a few fines and possible give them some cheap labor in prison if they can (most likely not).
The best thing you can do is tell your cousin what happened just in case he gets arrested in the future and they try to use your arrest as a way to make him look bad in court. Also, if you skip court an arrest warrant could possibly be taken out on your cousin so make sure you don't jump bail. Just let your cousin know the situation (if you like him) and everything should work out just fine.
And try to control your drinking habits, if you cant then maybe you should practice being sober.

I'll call your cousin Frank, and I'll call you MR. Your record will show your arrest and will show Frank as an alias. MR, also known as Frank.
It won't show on your cousin's record.
Please talk to your doctor about your alcohol problem. If getting arrested for your drunken behavior isn't enough for you to realize that you have a problem, then nothing will.
