Why do people put their hands in the air at church?

i in my view do it because of fact i've got self assurance like it, I dont prefer the different reason. because of fact think of roughly it, whilst your arms are outstretched, arent you extra receptive. Its all approximately being led via the Spirit. Peace

They want to reach out to God. God is like their father and they the children, so it's like a baby reaching out for their dad.

They do it because they feel compelled to, its like their reaching up to God, they don't even think about it, its a natural reaction to their uplifted feeling at the moment.. :)
