After the universe expands to the max all life will cease to exist so what's the point?

We could move to another planet or live in space to escape our dying sun but nobody can escape the expansion of the universe.

The expansion of the universe doesnt concern our species, our Sun will consume Earth before the acceleration reaches a critical point. If the human race still survives in 5 billion years, hopefully before 5 billion years we discover an Earth like planet, inhabited by sentinel life or any life or not, and colonize as if the human race exists we will. You have to worry about our Sun and the brutality of the human race before the expansion of the universe, unless early estimates were completely wrong and the Big Rip is true.

The universe isn't actually expanding at all. The idea that it does comes from misinterpreting galactic redshifts as a doppler effect when they are actually a scattering effect. The galaxies are not generally receding from each other at all. Their light simply loses energy through it's interaction with the intergalactic medium... http://www.newtonphysics.on.ca/hubble/index.html

If the universe was expanding quasars would show time dilation effects but they don't:

That statement is NOT correct. The Universe will expand then it will stop expanding. Then it will collapse. All this will take Billions of years. However it will have NO EFFECT of life on this rock.

The only thing that is going to effect us is our SUN, when it turns into a Red Giant.

Well that billions of years from now. We're not programmed to think that far ahead. Maybe the human race or life elsewhere in the universe will also be extinct by then as well.

I assume that max means maximum. There may be no maximum.

Life is not a function of life span of the universe.

The point is that there is no point.
