how do i know if it worked?
i caught something after having a one night stand and the symptoms were, itchy inside the tip of my penis, stinging feeling when ejaculating/peeing and slight clear-ish/off white coloured discharge ...i went to the dr's and i was given antibiotics. all symptoms have seemed to of gone apart from very slight stinging when only peeing, only some times ....my question is that can i be sure that the antibiotics worked? how can i tell?
i know this is an odd place to ask this question, but i didn't know where else.

didnt the doctor tell u what u had? it could be chlamydia, thrush or a urinary tract infection..
usually symptoms disappear before you finish the course of antibiotics thats why they always say finish the course as many people stop taking antibiotics once the symptoms go away.
they usually retest for the illness they are treating for u and if it comes back negtive and the patient says they feel fine then problem solved but if u still have problems u need to go back
sometimes u need more than one course of antibiotics sometimes u need a different type of meds..
speak to doctor and FOR GODS SAKE USE CONDOMS

I don't have a penis, but I HAVE had similar symptoms. For a girl, that's a yeast infection, and antibiotics can cure it. You need to wash and change your underwear more often to avoid that. Of course, WOMEN have OTC stuff to help THEM, but I haven't seen any for guys. Of course, I haven't LOOKED, either.
