iPod touch problem? Album comes up with exclamation marks next to songs?

Question

I tried to sync my iTunes library onto my iPod touch 32GB 4th gen. iOS 6.
Nearly every songs are working, apart from one album.
It doesn't show up on my iPod touch & when i plug it into iTunes & look at the list of songs on my iPod the album is there but it has an exclamation mark next to every track. 
This doesn't make sense because the tracks haven't been moved & they can still be played on iTunes. I purchased the album a few days ago. I don't know how to solve this because when i right click the songs on the list of songs on my iPod on iTunes it says 'Play 'track name'' (which i can't), 'get info' & 'rating' & i can't use either of these to locate the song's information.

It doesn't make sense as i said because the songs can still be played on iTunes & i haven't moved them, they just won't show up on my iPod because the location 'cannot be found'.

Does anyone know what to do? :-(

The exclamation mark means that it has an error occurring, assuming it's what I think it is. Does it look like a small White exclamation mark inside a red shape? If so, it probably means that it's probably in a format recognised by your pc but not your iPod, just download sound converter somewhere online and convert it to mp4

The same thing happened to me and my problem was that I dragged the songs into iTunes, but then I deleted the icons that I dragged in the first place. You need to recover those and put them in a folder on the desktop. I hope that helped and u had the same problem!
