What can I expect from a injection of cortisone into my hip?

I've had one in my knee before and drove home. Will I be able to drive home, and how is it done?

Will I get relief right away?

Relief begins pretty immediately with injected steroids. The injections can be painful, sorry to say, but the relief more than makes up for it in my experience. And yes you will be able to drive home.
