Brake light is out but it depends on the day.?

My left brake light is out...sometimes. It chooses when it wants to go out and when it actually wants to work. Should I just get a new light or is it a car problem. I have a 2007 HHR Chevrolet if that helps. Your help is much appreciated. Thank you!

    Check your bulb sounds like it may be loose. Also see if there is any corrosion on the contacts might as well replace the bulb while you have the light pulled.

    Your bulb could be loose or you could have a wire short, you may want to check both.
