Some of us, do not have the luxury to live in a an oh so safe naive white bread protected world.
I had breakfast with a coworker in Mar of '86 and by noon he was dead, on the job, victim of an ex-con who was not out of the joint 3 days, I bet he would have wanted to have something to give him a chance. I bet his widow and kids would too.
Have you ever had a pistol pointed right into your forehead as I did on the same job? My coworkers have had rottweilers sent out to greet them , had knives pulled on them, shovels, bats, fists. We were in service work. Life is not all butterflies and rainbows and ballerinas petting kittens.
Our lives count too you know.

No but have used them to defend myself
Many schools in the US have police officers assigned to them aren't they the same as armed guards.....
In a not perfect world only the good guys would turn in their guns and we would be helpless and at the
mercy of the bad guys.Too bad we will never know if a police officer was assigned to that school how many lives could he have saved. Drugs and drunk driving have been against the law for years and that does not help.
We could use the money we give to countries that hate us,our children are more important!!
Isn't it better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it!!

Everyone who has been assaulted by someone with a firearm WISHES (or is glad) they had a gun with them at the time.
EVERY ONE.
Being defenseless is not as cool as the gun-grabbers make it sound.

No.
I was very, very, very content having that pistol wedged under my leg while I sat in a darkie neighborhood waiting for a call back with accurate directions.
The gaggles of neeguroos that surrounded me, and their taunts, made me uncomfortable.
I've been to places you could never imagine honey.

I've never been in a situation where I needed one. I am glad to know that If I do I have one.

Fortunately, I've never been without one, whether I wanted it at the time, or not.
