How do I edit the audio on a video to here the soft sounds in the background?
I want to edit a video so that I can make out what is being said in the background. There are people talking really loud over the top of it so I can't hear what is being said. What free software can I use, where can I get it, and how does it work? I know this can be done I just need help finding the right tools to do it.

All the free video editing software relies on having separate audio tracks that you can change the volume on. If you only have one audio track you can not separate it with movie maker or avid or the other freebies.
No other answers with a solution either. So google is your friend.
