The question is: what is better for the US economy, the US dollar losing its value or not. Generally, the view of economists is that it is better for the US economy if the US dollar gets weaker, that is to lose its value. If the US dollar gets weaker, products made in the US become cheaper in the international markets and would therefore strengthen to export industry in the US, creating additional jobs and revenue.

The FED policy is to weaken the dollar until the unemployment rate is 6.5% from 7.3% today. So it might take a while. The Euro get more strong and the Yen get weak. There are all manipulation on the way.
