Were you working in Missouri until the middle of the year when did retire and did you happen to receive any other income from Missouri other than this retirement that that might be taxable income to you in the state that are a resident of for that tax year that you do receive your retirement income in during the tax filing season for that tax year.
Missouri Retirement Income
Military, civil service, state/local government pensions are exempt.
Out-of-state government pensions are fully taxed. Railroad retirement is fully exempt. Social Security is exempt for residents with a federal adjusted gross income of $75,000 will be exempt from any state tax on their Social Security benefits.
Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful. 12/27/2012

You will not. Unlike income from wages, retirement benefits are only taxed by your state of residence, not the state from which the benefits arise. If your retirement benefits are taxable, they will only be taxable federally and to the state of KS.

70 - and artwork till you declare to leverage the end results of inflation on your earnings - do no longer earn extra advantageous than the max in years once you assemble - they'll withold $a million for each $2 over the max which you earn (previous to age 70) - different components of earnings could make you SS reward taxable - IRAs and 401Ks count variety in the direction of that shrink. - stay in (or flow to ) a state that doesn't tax SS reward Asker's score & remark

you probably need to see if Mo taxes retirement income that was earned in that state
not all states treat the state earned income the same
since you have established citizenship in another state, ie registrations for vehicle, voter, bank accounts, leasing lodgings or buying a home, will determine your intent for residency and some states require report and claim ALL income from all sources
