    Husky,

I agree, shameful how liberals are jumping on this bandwagon, when all of a sudden they need to ban guns. I believe its generally the bleeding heart criminal sympathizer.

I don't believe in the death penalty based on the occasional wrongful conviction, and also because I don't believe in revenge. I mean, it's true it's a deterrent, but I don't think most murders are carried out with that in mind. I'm against the death penalty for reasons irrelevant to guns, is my main point there.

On guns. I just don't see any strong reason that people should have guns. I think if done properly, taking the guns off the streets first, then out of the hands of citizens so that only the cops have them, then eventually (after a few decades of work) out of the hands of cops so only the military has them, and stopping there would make a stunning reduction in gun deaths. I think we would go from 12,000 gun deaths per year (current US estimate) to something like the current estimate for Japan (12)

Source(s): Of course I realize this would mean a Congressional amendment to the constitution overturning the 2nd Amendment. I'll listen to the counter-arguments, but at this point, that's how I'd vote.

I live in Australia, where it is very hard to obtain a gun. The cops carry them, but you need to qualify for a gun licence, which has a lot of requirements in itself (e.g. No mental disability, no anger issues...). Anyway, you NEVER hear about gun violence in the news here, only about idiots going on rampages in the U.S. and nobody is complaining about our gun laws, it keeps everyone happy.

We also don't support the death penalty over here, and haven't for over 40 years.

Our crime rates are WAY lower than in the States. It makes sense. No guns, no death penalty, happy citizens.

I found a gun toting criminal in laying down in the cold the other night. He was cold and covered with a thin layer of frost. I brought him into my home and fed him a piping hot bowl of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup. As he thawed my heart began to melt for his pock marked cheeks and the way his coke nail glistened in the light of the kitchen. I snuggled him into a deep sleep and when the morning came he was gone. He left me a single soiled sock which I now keep under my pillow. So yes, I do have a soft heart for criminals. Right wing sarcastic *****? Nope.

What is a gun criminal? Do you mean a murderer or someone who just had a gun on them but didn't use it? I don't support state sponsored murder any more than private murders, as we have clear evidence that the death penalty doesn't deter crime. However, I fully support hard labor prisons without any perks for people who choose to kill others. I want prison to suck as much as humanly possible, so that no one wants to go there. Currently, our prison system gives many people more luxuries than they have at home,.....and they don't have to pay for it. I support criminals working for their food and beds. If they choose not to do so, they don't eat and don't get a cot to sleep on.

It's odd that your party condoned the murder of Trayvon Martin, claiming he deserved it and funding George Zimmerman's defense team. Why weren't you first in line demanding the death penalty for him being a "gun criminal"?

I think once a gun-owner becomes a criminal he should be punished. It's pretty self explanatory for a conservative or a liberal. I dont think a gun ban will happen but they liberals have done a good job making pro-gun cons look like butt clowns

Hateful toward people who sell guns outside the law, like those at gun shows.

If the NRA was smart it would just push for better enforcement of the laws we already have. But they want NO LAWS.

I just don't think the death penalty is an effective deterrent.

    I will repeat my answer.

If someone robs a grocery store with a gun, that crime is not serious enough to put him on "electric chair".
