Where can a friend of mine get financial help for her Uterine cancer?

She is 32 years old, has 4 children, lives in California and is on medical. They told her she has to wait 6 to 8 weeks before she'll know if they've approved for her to have surgery....she may not HAVE that long. It all has to do with being on medical. Isn't there a foundation specifically for Uterine cancer she can contact to help her out? Please, if anyone knows of such a place, please write back with a phone number or address.

Thank you

Update:

To Denisedd....First of all, I didn't ask your opinion on MY political views, this is about trying to help a friend on mine who JUST found out she has cancer. Your overly opinionated answer didn't help in the least, and cancer "Registrar" or not, you are an insensitive person with ignorant words to boot!

She should talk with a social worker at the hospital or clinic. They will know what options are available to her.

Strange question coming from someone named “Republican!!!”.

This is exactly why we need a change in our healthcare system.

There are millions of people in this situation and there are no foundations that provide free medical care.

BTW I think you are referring to Medi-Cal.

When that is your online name you are pretty much asking for it so it is a little strange to act surprised.

My answer did not help because there is no help - Medi-Cal is the best she can hope for.

There is nothing insensitive about my answer I see this every freaking day and I think it is shameful that we can help everyone but our own. Healthcare should not be a privilege it should be a right.

People who tend to be that gung ho over being a republican are far to the right and ignore what I see every day. If you are not one of them I apologize
