Does using hydrogen poroxide to lighten hair damage your hair?
I just want to lighten the tips of my hair because it's too black and my mother is afraid of my hair being damaged. Also, how long should I leave it in if I choose to do it anyway?

If you do it often or leave it in too long, it'll damage your hair. I have a friend who dyes her hair way too often and has to use Hydrogen Peroxide to get it the color she wants. The color of her hair looks terrible everytime she dyes it because her hair is so damaged

Do not do it. Use a box color and gradually lighten it. Meaning every couple of weeks or so.

Yes it does! A friend of mine knows someone who put it in her hair and put her hair in a bun, and then the bun fell entirerly off her head!
