Updating my MacBook Pro from 10.5.8 to mountain Lion?
okay so i guess im pretty behind on the mac software but i went to buy a game today and it said i needed mountain lion so i tried to buy it but it wouldn't let me saying i had to buy some other operating system. how do i do get my mac to the most recent set up

You have to update to Snow Leopard (10.6.8) first in order to get the App Store, which is the only way to download Mountain Lion. Snow Leopard is about $30 and Mountain Lion is $20, so it could be a little pricey for one game. I think Snow Leopard is only available as a disk, so you're going to need to order it online or get it from a local Apple Store.

First you need to upgrade to Snow Leopard and from there you can upgrade to ML. You can buy them at the Apple store:
