What's the possibility of me having a kid with Type 1 Diabetes when I have it also?

I wouldn't mind having a kid with Type 1, I would still treat him/her the same. I just wonder, I really wanna have a kid with my girlfriend... we have dated for about 7 months and we havn't fought that much. I love her ^_^ she doesn't have anything wrong though, no Diabetes. I do though, so please answer my question. Thanks people! :)

    Hi i am a type 1 diabetic and i have 4 healthy wonderful children..I have been type 1 diabetic for 22 years and didn't have my first babies until i was 29yrs and i am now 39 having 12 yr old twins 6yr and 2 yr old and .being a women and type 1 i didn't think falling pregnant would be so hard but it was until i realised that i had to be really under control to even conceive or to even carry a bub so for me as a women need to have diabetes under control to have healthy eggs so for a man i guess its the same to be under control so that you have healthy sperm.so if your HBCA level is around the 6-8 then no reason why you shouldn't be able to as your partner is at no risk of diabetes.so good luck and happy baby making to you both wish you luck x

    Your kind dont get diabetes just beacuse you have it,thats like saying you cut your finger and they are being born without a finger
