I try to partition my hard drive but I get an error?

I try to partition my mac hard driveto make more room on my Windows Bootcamp but lately this error has been showing up:

Partition failed with the error:

Couldn’t modify partition map because file system verification failed.

What can I do to fix it? I tried restarting it but it doesn't help.

Are you trying to format a partition, or change the size of the two partitions?

You'll need a third party program like partition magic to change the size of the partitions without wiping data. It's much faster to back up your PC partition, use bootcamp assistant to delete the bootcamp partition, and then start from scratch but with a larger partition this time. Once it's installed you can restore your data.

Try some of the software from the internet and see if it will work...
