guild wars 2 running as process but not doing anything else?
It ran fine for about 2 days then, after changing nothing, it starts to only show up as a process in task manager and takes up about 50% of my CPU usage. If I try to open it again it says it is already running. I tried rebooting and system restoring but that didn't help. I am at a loss as to what to do... (yes I checked all my security features to make sure it didn't decide to block it. I just turned them off and it still wouldn't open). Please help this is quite frustrating.

There's no simple answer to this. It could be something to do with the Guild Wars 2 client or it could be something to do with your actual PC. What I would recommend is completely deleting the game from your PC, redownloading it and try starting it again. If you face these same issues again after doing that I'd contact ArenaNet support and explain the problem.

it seems you have ran the game yet .open directly after you open the computer ? as it takes up about 50% of your CPU usage and says it is already running .
