do you think animal planet's documentary Mermaids the body found is real?

Animal Planet has claimed that the documentary is fully fictional. Many people reacted by believing that the documentary is real simply because all documentaries featured by their network are real, except for that one (kinda weird really).

Yes i do think they exist my fathers friend loves fishing and he goes to a close place where i live in called south padre island but he only knows where the spot is every year he goes out their with his wife and son because he has seen a mermaid like 4 times already but he is unable to catch her because she is very fast and swims away but he has seen her he says everyday he spends trying to catch her she comes out like at 4 in the morning and he says she starts singing with the most beautiful voice u have ever heard and her tail has big scales imagine fish scales but much more larger and he has been going because he wants to catch her so they world can see she exists but he is an old rich man so he spends like 3 weeks every year trying to catch her he bough a bunch of equipment just to catch her but she is very strong and she always messes up his equipment but they really do exist and im not lying i swear to god so yeah have a nice day.

My gut feeling is that it is not. I'm planning to research it, but I don't think any real scientist would say such things on television.

I researched it and the whole thing is a fake.

They already said that multiple times. Why don't you just google it. The only real thing in the whole film is the thing about the Bloop sound.

I'm watching it too. Im looking these people up to see if they are actual scientist. Who knows?
