Am I really a Mestizo?
Hi! So my cousin says that i'm Mestizo, my dad's last name is Flores Hernandez, most of his family are dark skinned. My mom's last names are Landaverde Montalvo. Her family consists of very light skin.
Do i have any Native American in my blood? Sorry if this question is stupid, i'm just curious.

YEAH BUT MESTIZO/MESTIZA IS A VERY OLD TERM THAT'S OUTDATED, IT WAS ONLY USED THROUGHOUT LATIN AMERICA WHEN IT WAS CONTROLLED UNDER SPAIN...IT THE CASTE SYSTEM THERE WERE DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS LIKE A mestizo + spaniard would = a castizo
but nowadays i think mestizo just means native american+euro mix regardless of percentage.

You'd have to ask your parents if they know of any mix with blacks or native Americans. You won't know until you ask about your family history. If they are very dark skinned without being tan, then yes, you could be mixed with black and/or Amerindian.

Yeah I agree, you should get a racial DNA test but it also depends on what country your ancestry is from. Some Latin American countries have higher mestizo populations than others. Try looking at some of the traits in your family and see if they match up with Indian traits( straight jet black hair, high cheekbones, reddish brown skin, almond eyes, ...)

Yes you are. And OF COURSE you have native blood since you said your dads family is dark.
