1986 fiero 2.8 charging system?

I have replaced the alternator and battery but it still goes dead, what now

    I think he means you disconnect the neg cable first, hook the test light to it, then touch the neg post of the battery with the test light. If it lights there's a drain somewhere.

    Although for all I know, maybe you just touch the light to the frame of the car & the alligator clip to the disconnected neg cable, not to the battery. Heck if I know.

    there is an easy way to check for a drain on battery. use a test light and hook it to the negative battery cable, remove negative cable with light still attached to it.wait about five minutes with light still attached to cable. if the test light glows then you have a drain. to find the drain, leave test light hooked up, then pull one fuse at a time. when you find the fuse, and the light goes out. its in that curcuit. may god bless and have a good day!
