Did the son and the father become one just because they got sick of arguing over the Old Testament?

No. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have existed together from eternity past; one God in three Persons. The God of the Old Testament is in fact the Holy Trinity, still veiled. In the terminology of the early Church, the Son is begotten (John 3:16) of the Father before all ages, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father (John 15:26). They are worshiped and glorified together as One God.

    Forgive me.

The Son of God was always with God the Father before time was even thought of.

It was an agreed upon outcome at the Council of Nicaea, of 330 CE. Jesus never considered himself a god, and most of the Jewish sects which came after him did not either.

google Nicene Council, Nazarines, Gnostics, Marcionites, Ebionites, to name just a few of those sects, each considering themselves the true group that the Jesus Movement became.

Oh no, the Son is in agreement with the Father, and the Father is in agreement with the Son - they simply accomplish different roles.

It is Blasphemy to suggest that God and His Son argue over the Word of God.

It is Blasphemy to suggest that God and His Son could be in any way "sick."

They were always one, and always in one accord.

It is only we who argue endlessly thinking we must be right.

They are right, so no need to argue.

God did what was right, but humanists can't handle this.
