Going to Las Vegas and have question about ID?

I just lost my wallet and it had my drivers license in it. I'm going to Las Vegas and I heard that when I apply for a new one I can get a temporary one? Will Las Vegas accept it?? I know I will get carded cause I have a baby face. I have an expired license from 3 years ago. I rather not use my passport cause that's some serious **** if I lose that there. Please any help will be great!!!!

I'd bring the passport. No one is required by law to accept a temporary ID (I had one about a month ago, is how I know.) They can choose to accept it or choose to reject it.

You need to get through airport security twice and check into the hotel, that right there is enough reason to bring a solid ID. If you're young enough to get carded you could get kicked out of every casino on the strip if you don't have a good ID.

Bring the passport because temporary or expired will NOT be accepted. You must have a valid picture ID.

You're better off bring your passport. The temporary license is just a piece of paper. It also doesn't have your picture on it. Clubs and bars don't have to accept it. Most probably won't. If you would rather not bring your passport you're only other choice is to not go to clubs, bars, or gamble.

There are only 4 types of ID that Nevada establishments that serve alcohol are allowed to use. An expired or temporary one won't cut it. However, the passport will.

It depends on the bar/club/casino to accept a temporary ID as usually it's just a slip of paper. Bring the expired ID with it or something with your name and picture. If you can, bring the passport and it will save you any potential trouble.
