Why aren't the yahoo chat rooms working?

On Nov. 30th, yahoo said the chat rooms would be closed on Dec. 14th. When you log into messenger, this notification was at the top, via a link to the information on the blog.

Because they're gone.
Yahoo permanently shut their chat rooms down on December 14th.
