Problem with Chevy Malibu in the snow.?
I have a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu with the four-cylinder engine and 4 good winter tires with studs. On the snow and ice covered roads I have a hard time moving, especially after stopping at a red light. I turned traction control off and the engine stars revving.
I turned t/c off because with it on, I could not move at all.

Turn that back on. On take off go easy don't spin tires. No revving. Good luck

Dont turn the traction control OFF!!!!!!!!!!! Thats what it is for- it limits engine RPM's to help you control tire spin, are you sure you got good winter tires with studs????? Those tires you got on it arent directionals are they??? You would be surprised how many people fail to understand that directionals do not work at all in ice & snow. I had directionals on the Grand Am I bought & got rid of them after last winter. All they do is spin trying to take off from a stop. I would look at the tires, if you got studs on them, there is no reason why you should have problems going. Are you flooring it when you start to take off?????

Why would you turn off the one thing that is designed to prevent wheelspin?
And oh yeah, get lighter shoes. You are probably too hard on the throttle.
