How much of an impact can 1 average man have in this world?
This average man has no luxuries only necessities, and no power. Is it possible for him to change this world, and the people that live in it?
I want an answer for present day not the past.

people aren't as easily influenced as they were 20, 50, 100, or 200 years ago

I think it is possible to change the world. Lots of completely AVERAGE men have changed the world. Some for the better and some for the worst. My point is most people start out average..but it doesn't mean they have to stay that way. if you want to you can change the world, ALL of us have the power to make an impact, but most of us are to lazy.
All it takes is hard work and NOT giving up. if you really want to make an impact, not just to make money, have patients and give it all you got. Dont lose hope..
Hope my answer helped! :)

You can certainly change the world for some people. Very few people can change the world and the people who live in it. Only the great Teachers, Yeshua bin Joseph, Buddha, The Dalai Lama, Voltaire, some would say Tolle, though I think that's a bit of a stretch manage that.
The hardest part is figuring out in which way you wish to effect that change.

Well, it seems a man can have quite an impact by the deeds he chooses.
Good and bad... some people are making quite an impact in this world.
The media easily tells us all about the impact a criminal or two can have. You need to go elsewhere to find the impact a kind and decent person has.
It starts with one person and continues with others noticing.

My husband is very "mind over matter" and thinks that all that holds anyone back from anything is their own belief about their ability. In practice, this tends to work for him in an uncanny sort of way, but I don't think it's that simple for most people. I think there Are factors beyond your control that influence you, and there's a constant back-and-forth between how you affect the world and how it affects you. If you're talking small scale, there's always some way in which you can influence the world in a positive way- You can give someone the benefit of the doubt that they have a legitimate reason for doing something that seems silly to you. You can listen when a friend has a problem. You can buy a snack for the guy outside the grocery store asking for change. You can choose to shop at one store or buy one brand over another to support their labor or environmental policies. It's a drop in the bucket, but a full bucket is made of drops. My husband is all about the small scale and he has a lot of success at that level.
I tend to focus on the big picture. I want laws to change. I want societal expectations and values to be different. I want institutions restructured. I want our economic system to be fair. I want friends to just make better decisions, and not keep having the same problems over and over again. In all of these I am constantly frustrated by my lack of power to make these things happen. I don't feel satisfied with adding my one point towards the positive side- I want the problem to be completely fixed! I fantasize about winning the lottery and using the money to change the world, but can't afford to be spending money on lottery tickets! I think my ideals are in the right place- you can't make big things happen without having big goals- but it's frustrating that having those goals doesn't give you the power to achieve them.
So, is it better succeed at small things or work for goals you don't have the power to reach? This is the ongoing debate between my husband and I...

No human being that I can think of has ten arms, four heads and shoots fire from his/her eyes.
So every man is pretty much an average man, do you not agree?
A great man is just an average man with great ideas.
All you need is to find that one idea that everyone else loves to hate or hate to love, and put in the work.

The ordinary person with a skill can sometimes do extraordinary things in his community, state, etc.
So once he achieves that, he can make changes in his country, and later around the world. The trick is probably in realizing his skills or talent, and then using his diligence and passion, proceed to realize his dream. Music, arts, science, education, inventions and lobbying for improved and safe housing may be some effective areas for changes.

I guess its not possible but if tt average man has got Jesus, then man thats possible...we humans are nothing..only God is something..we dont even own anything..the breath that we have was given by Him,Jesus..an average man who has God in him can certainly change the world in the ways God wants him to change the world.. Though the change might not be significant in other man's eyes,it is surely and certainly significant in Jesus' eyes..everyone in the body of Christ has a role to play just like a body,a mouth is used to eat, eyes to see, ears to hear..if you have Christ in you, then certainly an "average" joe can certainly change the world woth God by his side. GOD BLESS :)
