Would being 5 minutes late on taking Birth Control get me pregnant?

I have a phone alarm set to take it and I didn't have it on me, but it had only been five minutes. It's tri-sprintec. Also this happened wednesday and I'm pretty sure I'll end up having sex on monday. This is such a weird question. haha

Haha, no 5 minutes will not ruin anything with your birth control effectiveness. As a rule, its a good idea to take each pill at the same time each day. However, it can give or take as much as an hour or so. Taking at the same time each day simply assures that there's an even distribution of hormones at all times. And for your body, 5 minutes will make absolutely no difference. In fact, simply being stressed out could make more of a hormonal difference than that 5 minutes.

minutes recommend no longer some thing. Regardless you're only danger-free at about a ninety 8% so every time you've sex you nevertheless have a 2% danger of having pregnant. because of this you're meant to apply doubble controception... which include the pill and condoms. i became on the pill for decades and that i had neglected an afternoon and then doubbled up the subsequent and that i under no circumstances once became pregnant condom or no longer. So extremely you need to be high quality. if you're asking this question you at the on the spot are not knowledgeable adequate about your beginning contorll and favor to noticeably make the effort and carry out a touch study and/or sit such as your primary practitioner and communicate each little thing. And till you income this i does no longer recommend being sexually lively. Being uneducated = undesirable prgnancy basic and easy and don't have self belief that the pill is the optimum. in case you bypass or omit a dose the effectivness drops by technique of a percentage. So the answer above mine is incorrect! i'm on Paragard and that's an IUD and an IUD is more advantageous functional thinking that's ninety 9.9% functional. So there are more advantageous constructive possibilities accessible. i'd recommend utilising assorted procedures which include spermacide, or a sponge, or be wise and use a condom as again-up. the only effective fireplace thanks to no longer get pregnant accessible is to abstain so under no circumstances have self belief you're one hundred% danger-free only because you're on the pill.

Haha, don't worry. It's not a weird question, it's good to be cautious. It won't get you pregnant, don't worry. There is like a 12 hour window on some birth control pills and 6 hour windows on others depending on which pill it is, but 5 minutes is nothing. The pill is 99% effective though.
