Nail Growth Problem?????

Hi :)

Ok, so i've been planning on growing my nails as I'm a terrible nail biter BUT I think I have a problem.

Sorry because I don't know any scientific names for parts of the nail but I hope you understand this.

My nails are so short that the pink parts of my nails are shorter too. If I grow my nails, will the white bit grow while the pink bit is still short? If so, How can I grow the pink parts?

As your nails grow they will sort themselves out! When I was growing mine I thought exactly the same, that my tip was gonna start half way down my finger coz that's where I chewed then to lol but it doesn't. Keep trimming them tho as you will find that thu are thin and brittle at first. Use a varnish that strengthens them too. Good luck it's well worth doing :)

Just take care of your nails, give yourself weekly manicures and keep your nails painted.

The white bit will still grow even if the pink bit is small, but remember, you have been biting your nails for what I will assume is years? Your nails are going to be really weak and thin when they forst start growing back.

Eventually after extended nail care and not biting your nails, you will find the pink bit will eventually etend a little.

    Goodluck!! :D

I was unable to grow my nails, I tried for years and was unsuccessful in every way. Both because I was a nail biter, and because my natural nails are so incredibly thin and weak. The answer to both problems was fake nails professionally done :)
