Why are atheists so white? Bet most of you atheist posters here are white too. Why no colored people?

The Tea Party isn't considered racist because it has a lot of white people in it. It is considered racist because there is a lot of racists in it.

I think its two reasons primarily:

1. Education: The more education a person has, the less religious they tend to be. Caucasians have an higher rate of college graduation then most minorities do.

2. Culture: Religion is more deeply imbedded in the African American and Hispanic (US's two largest minorities) cultures then they are in the Caucasian culture

I often wondered this too from my time in the Navy. Most of the white ppl I met were friggin atheists. All that education means nothing in a life or death scenario and EVERYONE believes in a God when they're at funerals or witnessing tragedy. Of course they could just wake up a guy in a casket since, y'know, theyre just sleeping.....those slaves that were mentioned; having nothing creates humility. Having everything worldly creates pride and arrogance...and we all know, EVERYONE wants to be around that (SARCASM COMPLETED). And its not about religion. Its about one's personal faith with God. RELIGION is man-made. Faith is not.

I have met many black atheists online. I will admit that a black is more likely to be a Protestant of some stripe, or a Muslim. There may be a lot of Asian atheists, but it is hard to tell since they don't tend to talk religion much.

Same principle has thinking they are on top of the race chain and every other race is below them. In thinking they are wise, they have becomes fools. The most atrocious crimes are committed by whites in this country. God bless our poor souls.

I'm white because both my mom and dad are white so they passed their white genes to me and thus I came out white. </end sarcasm>
