How to pick up my new hamster?
I just got my hamster dec 29th I let him get use to his habitat and I'm still letting him
he seems to run on his wheel alot..I talk to him and I put my hand in every 3 hours to see if he comes
but he always runs away
I tried almost everything..how do I pick up my hamster ?

Don't use gloves, it won't ever get used to your hand if you do, feed your hamster a treat, this may sound kind of silly, but build a connection with your hamster, takes quite a bit of time for this..Soon enough you'll be best buddies//

When I got my first hamster he ran a lot on his wheel as well, I think he was nervous.
Try baiting him with some sunflower seeds. Maybe you could isolate him to one spot and see if he'll stay still?

Just grab a hold of him with 2 fingers around their waist or back whatever you know what I mean. Some don't like getting pick up and will bit you and it hurts a little bit.

Put a treat in your hand and wait until he comes to you. He just needs a little time. Good luck!

Don't try to pick it up until he gets used to you. Let him snift you through the bars on the cage.

Time ...they are quick to bite...handle it with gloves a lot ..get it real used to you then tada!
