We are struggling at the time because our heating system is messed up and we live with leeches so my mom is the only one paying bills
My hamster is cold I know this because he hides under the litter stuff because it so cold but when we are near the often he stays above
How do I keep him warm and don't say stay near the oven because we have other animals and they might try to eat him :(

Try covering a part if his cage with a towel or blanket. Maybe the whole back, a bit on the sides and a bit ontop. Use paper clips to secure the blanket/towel. Don't cover the whole cage because you won't have an easy access to the cage and the hamster can't breath.
A fleece blanket seems to be the best to cover a part of tge cage because:
- It doesn't fringe so the hamster can't swallow a thread
- It keeps in the warmth easily and effectively
You can also add some more bedding.
Hope this helped!

Is there a way a friend could keep your hamster until the heater gets fixed? What type of bedding are you using. If you are using the shavings stuff, maybe switch to something like Kaytee Clean & Cozy or Carefresh soft pet bedding. I would really see if a friend can keep him until the heating gets fixed though.

Give him about 3 inches of bedding and tear up some paper towels or toilet paper and mix it in with his bedding. He'll use it to nest, dig, and burrow, thus helping him stay warm. Also put some of the mixture of bedding and toilet paper/paper towel in his hide house, making it a warm, cozy environment for him to sleep in.
If you do that he should be warm enough. Unless its below freezing in your house, your hamster will be fine. Animals have good instincts that help keep them alive.

Do you have any loose socks(no dye) or cloth? You can warm them up by the oven and put you hamster in them.(not hot)
