Sudden, sharp pain in rib.?

The last week or so I have been getting completely random pains on my left rib cage... It feels like its always in the same spot, on my side, sort of in the middle i guess? The pain takes my breath away, but only lasts a few seconds. It feels like I'm getting stabbed. It happens randomly throughout the day. As far as I know nothing has changed in my life, no diet change or injuries. I have searched online.. Web MD, but I can't find anything, so a little advice would be great. Oh and I can't go to the doctors, I live in a truck and am on the road all the time.... Actually could that affect my ribs? I'm not sure how it could, but worth a try I guess.
