I'm 14.. Am I done growing?!?

Question

I'm 14 & paranoid that I am done growing. I'm 5'3". My mom is 5'7" & my dad is 6'1".  However my grandmother is 5'2" & my grandfather is 6'4".. i think my grandmothers height will affect my height. & I'm surrounded by tall people so I think that makes me feel a lot shorter. I have heard rumors that girls are done growing 2 years after they start their period. Well It's been 2 years.. I have grown an inch since last year & I'm hopeful I'll have one last growth spert. Can somebody help me so I stop worrying? Thanks in advance /:

Girls tend to stop growing before boys but I would guess you still have at least a few years left to grow.  Most girls continue to grow until around 16 and boys can continues to grow until they are 21.  I wouldn't worry too much. Given your family stats you will likely add some more inches to your height in the next few years.  5'3" isn't that short anyway but it probably feels that way when everyone if your family is taller.

I don't think that girls finish growing two years after your period, because how many 11 year olds are 5 ft 6 and have big boobs? That's my thinking at least. I believe it's just a rumor, and not correct.

i wouldn't date a girl over 5'7 or under 5ft. you're fine. you stop growing at 16 you'll most likely be 5'5. chill out. it doesn't matter, you're average height and people will be attracted to you for your face and body at first look, the only way you wouldn't get liked for your height is if you're 5'10 and taller than the guy or freakishly short that an orange creature they call snooki.
