Free Picture editing software?

I need a free app for my iPad to edit pictures to look professional.

Also I need a good software program (free) that I can download onto my laptop

I am starting a photography business and I do not know what software photographers use

    My friend tries to be all artsy all the time with her picture taking so she told me about a site called http://www.befunky.com/ it looks good for editing.

    iPad can just use Photoshop.com

    As for Laptop the best Free Picture Manipulation software will be Gimp

    Paint.net is the best, then there is Gimp. :)
