Is feminism the driving factor behind pro-abortion politics?
Feminists believe they can do anything with their body, even at the liability and danger of others. They are even willing to kill for their bodies. An incredibly selfish deed to do. Is this why pro-abortion beliefs have stemmed from feminism? Also, are their any ulterior motives for abortions, such as increasing the female population? Why are there 51% females and only 49% males? Is it because 80% of abortions are done to male babies?
@Drexler: "Males should evolve or extinct." That's some pretty vile hate speech. Remember the good book.
Ephesians 5:22
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
@Boiled Angel: I didn't delete it, the bigots running Yahoo Answers did.
@Boiled Angel: Being a bigot is different than standing up for what is right. You wouldn't support a terrorist, would you?

The original feminists were PRO-LIFE. That is why it is called a Susan B. Anthony's list, of pro-life politicians.
"Why are there 51% females and only 49% males? Is it because 80% of abortions are done to male babies?"
Those mathematics cannot possibly add up. The average abortion rate for the past 40 years is 1 abortion for every 3 live births.
You can figure this out, by comparing the 54 million abortions since RvW to the 160 million live people who are under the age of 40. About a ratio of 1 to 3.
This means, that there is a total of 214 million conceptions not ending by miscarriage. Assume this is gender balanced, thus 107 million of each males and females.
In order for there to be a 51% female to 49% male, for the population under age 40:
Here is your system of equations
(107 - x)/51 = (107 - y)/49
x + y = 54
where x and y are the total populations of each gender aborted (x female, y male)
Result:
x = 25.4 million females
y = 28.6 million males
Percentage of aborted who are males: 53%
Percentage of aborted who are females: 47%
Like I said earlier though, this does assume that all genders are balanced at conception. While this is statistically likely to be true, it is reasonable for it to fluctuate within a tolerance of 5% more of one gender than the other. Meaning, even if there are no abortions, it is expected to fluctuate all the way to 53%/47% on its own, and thus 51%/49% isn't significantly imbalanced. So from this data, you can't conclude that there is sex selective abortion going on in any significant amount.

The debate on abortion is older than 40 years and precedes feminism by thousands of years. The Catholic Church in its formative years wrote a lot about it.

Factually wrong details, more female babies are aborted. I don't like the current gender structure of the population because it is JUST 51% females when it should be 80% of the population...

So why did you delete your hate speech filled question from earlier?
Funny you call them bigots when you're one too.
And who are you to say what's wrong and what's right? Who are you to say that every non-christian and every homosexual is a terrorist?
