What are your favorite 3 teams to play in Australia world series(CB series)?
The Australia world series which was known in many different sponsor names time to time(Carlton United, Benson and Hedges, VB, CB etc etc) is the world's most significant 3 way ODI series ever since the beginning of ODI cricket . This tournament has been held in almost ever year since the beginning.
➽So if you get an opportunity to organize your own world(CB) series, which 3 teams would you choose? Australia and the team you support should be always there. What are your 3 teams?
Mine are AUSTRALIA, SRI LANKA and BANGLADESH! It has never happened before and I like to see how these 3 teams fair.
✦Q2:- Is it true that all the test playing nations apart from Ban. and Zim. have always met with each other in this series?
i.e:- For SL it is true. SL has met all the teams (except for Zim and Ban) in this series.
These series have happened
1) SL AUS NZ
2) SL AUS IND
3) SL AUS WI
4) SL AUS ENG
5) SL AUS PAK
6) SL AUS SA
Is it true about all the other 6 teams (IND, SA, ENG, WI, NZ, PAK, WI)? Have all of them met each other at least once in this series along with Australia?
This is a tricky question! I can't remember AUS vs WI vs INDIA ever happening! Am I right or wrong? Are there any more never seen 3 ways involving the major 8 teams?
✦Q3:- What is your favorite world series ever held in Australia?
Mine was 2006 VB series involving Aus, SA and SL where SL came runners up.

Mine would be Australia, Australia A and South Africa.
I can't recall what other team was playing, but that series where Australia played Australia A had some pretty good cricket matches and saw some legends like Ponting representing Australia A.
The tri-series in Australia have been:
1979/80 Aus, Eng, WI
1980/81 Aus, Ind, NZ
1981/82 Aus, Pak, WI
1982/83 Aus, Eng, NZ
1983/84 Aus, Pak, WI
1984/85 Aus, SL, WI
1985/86 Aus, Ind, NZ
1986/87 Aus, Eng, WI
1987/88 Aus, NZ, SL
1988/89 Aus, Pak, WI
1989/90 Aus, Pak, SL
1990/91 Aus, Eng, NZ
1991/92 Aus, Ind, WI
1992/93 Aus, Pak, WI
1993/94 Aus, NZ, SA
1994/95 Aus, Eng, Zim
1995/96 Aus, SL, WI
1996/97 Aus, Pak, WI
1997/98 Aus, NZ, SA
1998/99 Aus, Eng, SL
1999/00 Aus, Ind, Pak
2000/01 Aus, WI, Zim
2001/02 Aus, NZ, SA
2002/03 Aus, Eng, SL
2003/04 Aus, Ind, Zim
2004/05 Aus, Pak, WI
2005/06 Aus, SA, SL
2006/07 Aus, Eng, NZ
2007/08 Aus, Ind, SL
2011/12 Aus, Ind, SL
India & South Africa have not played in Australia in the same series, India & England have not played in Australia in the same series. Those are a couple. South Africa has only played Sri Lanka and New Zealand in the tri-series, so that means South Africa has not played Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, England, West Indies, Pakistan or India. Bangladesh has never played in the tri-series ODI tournament in Australia, but Zimbabwe has a couple of times. Interesting to note that the last two tri-series have been Australia, India and Sri Lanka.

1) Australia, India and Sri Lanka.
Honestly I said Sri Lanka because they are one of the better teams yet India mostly gets the better of them. I won't be cool getting into the finals after crushing B'desh, Windies, Zimbabwe etc.
Pakistan or South Africa would also be interesting.
2) I don't know the answer. I don't remember Bangladesh playing it, I mean not even watching the old matches, which I have watched a lot of this tri-series.
3) 2008, Aus, SL, Ind where India defeated the Aussies in the first two finals. Indian team were with a lot of youngsters, but there was also the likes of Sachin, Ganguly.

The concept of triangular series in Australia is dropped now. This year's cb series won by Australia was the last ever triangular series. From 2013 there will only be bilateral series.I think the upcoming 5 ODIs b/w Aus & SL is a part of cb series only.!!
1)My fav combination would be Aus vs India vs South Africa. This series would be more intensed & very competitive b/w 3 of the top teams in ODIs.Also this combination of series has never happened before.
2)Aus vs India vs WI took place in 1991.But since the concept of this series started only in 1979-80,I don't think every team would had played this series with every other test playing nation. For eg,India has never played this series with South Africa or England. But they have played it twice with NZ & SL and once with Zimbabwe,Pakistan & WI.

3)The one India won in 2008 would be my fav. That was the first victory of India down under. They outplayed the Aussies in all departments whitewashing them 2-0 in the finals. This victory also came after the test series which Aussies had won 2-1(they could never win a test match after Sydney test in the remainder of the series nor this odi series). The way Aussies won the Sydney test would had made India more determined to beat Australia.India bet Australia 2-0 in that same year in a 4-match test series in India & whitewashed them 2-0 in 2010 & so won more number of BG series(5 times) than Australia. They again ended the WC dominant reign of Aussies by beating them in the quarter finals at Ahmedabad of the WC.But after WC,India did struggle in their next tour down under earlier this year.
