I want to explain each app as much to my ability because the other answer were vague and peculiar.

Top 5 apps I have.

1.Sims Freeplay-LOVE IT. It's an app where you can immerse yourself into a whole new world. It's your very own world. Have kids, get a job, design your dream house, and much, MUCH, more.

2.Cooking Dash-Great game. If your into cooking you will love it! You cook and then serve with your best ability to beat the time before they get frustrated and leave. Of course try it free, then if you like it upgrade for 1.99$

3.Family Feud-SO FUN! ! ! If you've ever seen Family Feud then it's self explanatory.

4.Toca-Boca Hair Salon-WILL DIE WITHOUT IT! It's the best game I have. You style people hair (selection of 4) you can Cut grow raze shave comb dye their hair wash shampoo blow dry and towel their hair also decorate them with hats glasses and hair decorations. Fancy them up right before you take a picture of them.1.99$ though.

5.Deal or No deal-If you've seen the show the game is pretty much self explanatory.

When I had my iPod 4th generation (16gb, though) I fit around 5000 pictures/videos 400 songs, and pages/folders of apps. & I know you may be thinking of getting the 8gb, but believe me darling, when new apps come out, you're going to want to install them. I wouldn't risk getting just an 8gb. get a 16gb, its worth the extra dollars. (:

1 GB = 1000000000 bytes. 8 GB i pod can hold approximately 1700 songs or even more.. Size of a song may be 4 MB - 7 MB ( 1 MB = 1000000 bytes) Size of apps and games depends on the application itself. The no. of games , apps, music, video etc. you put in your ipod depends on its size.. total size should not exceed 8 GB.. If u have around 300 songs, 40 - 50 apps then 8 GB is enough..
